Careers at LocalSpindle
Why we hire local
LocalSpindle was founded by born and raised Wisconsin techs, and we’ve kept it that way. A tech who lives in the region knows the shops, the plants and the roads, and gets to a machine without a long drive. Our customers like talking to someone from their own corner of the state, and our techs like working close to home.
The work
No two days are the same. One day it’s a machining center alarm in a job shop, the next it’s a press brake, a fiber laser, a robot cell or a PLC on a packaging line. You’ll troubleshoot, repair and rebuild spindles, servo motors, hydraulics, controls and drives, run preventive maintenance visits, and help install new HACO press brakes, shears, lasers and punches.
Who we're looking for
Techs with hands-on experience on CNC machines or industrial equipment: controls like Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak and Okuma, electrical troubleshooting, PLCs and drives, hydraulics, or mechanical rebuild work. An engineering background is a big plus, since that’s how our team works: trace the fault to its cause instead of swapping parts. You should be comfortable working on site at customer shops in your region and writing up what you found.
Hiring for your own shop?
If you’re a Wisconsin manufacturer trying to hire maintenance techs, we can help there too. We can deploy a LocalSpindle tech to your facility for multiple weeks while you hire, and help you find the right people. See our maintenance packages.
