Quick answerLocalSpindle of Wisconsin repairs CNC machines and industrial equipment on site in Milwaukee, from the Menomonee Valley and the 30th Street corridor to the northwest side industrial areas. Our Milwaukee team works on machining centers, lathes, Fanuc and Siemens controls, spindles and servo motors, press brakes, lasers, robots and PLCs, and rebuilds spindles and servo motors.

CNC repair in Milwaukee

Milwaukee shops, Milwaukee techs

Milwaukee’s industrial base is deep and spread out: precision job shops on the northwest side, foundries and fabricators near the valley and the harbor, food and beverage plants, and the power transmission and controls makers the city has been known for since long before CNC. A lot of the equipment is older and still earns its keep, sitting next to new five-axis machines and robot cells.

That mix is why our Milwaukee team works the way it does. The same afternoon might mean a 1990s Fanuc control on a machining center that just needs the right part, and a newer turning center with a bar feeder that lost its handshake. We bring the meters and parts for both, find the cause, and leave a written note so your maintenance lead knows what happened.

Getting around the city matters too. Interstate 94, I-43 and I-41/US 45 tie the industrial areas together, and our techs know which exit gets to your dock.

Press brake, shear and laser repair in Milwaukee

Milwaukee fabricators count on press brakes, shears, fiber lasers, plasma tables, punch presses, plate rolls and ironworkers. We fix bend angles that won’t hold, back gauge errors, hydraulic leaks, blade gap and cut quality problems and chiller faults on Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, Bystronic, Accurpress, Hypertherm and HACO equipment.

In Milwaukee, we see this most at fabricators: press brakes, shears, fiber lasers and saws, with calls for bend angle, backgauges, chillers and blade gap. See press brake and shear repair and laser and plasma repair.

Packaging line and VFD repair for Milwaukee plants

When a packaging line stops in Milwaukee, product backs up fast. We repair conveyors, case packers, wrappers, gearmotors, VFDs and hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and check the sensors and safety circuits that cause most line stops.

Food and beverage plants in Milwaukee run conveyors, packaging lines, PLCs and drives, and the calls we get there are washdown sensor failures, drive trips and line stops. See conveyor and packaging repair and motor and VFD repair.

Control alarm repair for Milwaukee machines

Our Milwaukee team repairs CNC controls, servo amplifiers, spindle drives and I/O on the machines Milwaukee shops run, old and new. If a board or drive has to go out for repair, we tell you the fastest way to get the machine cutting again.

For Milwaukee’s job shops and contract machining, that’s machining centers, turning centers and Swiss-types. The usual calls: axis alarms, tool changers and spindle wear. See CNC control repair.

Robot, PLC and automation repair in Milwaukee

Our Milwaukee team works on the automation around the machines too: Fanuc, Motoman and ABB robots, Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, light curtains and safety relays. Most Milwaukee line stops come down to a sensor, a cable or a safety input, and we find it fast.

We cover this work across Milwaukee County, from shops along I-94 to Cudahy and Greenfield. See robot and automation repair and PLC repair.

Turning center and Swiss-type repair in Milwaukee

For Milwaukee’s turning work, we repair turret index and clamp alarms, chuck and hydraulic pressure problems, tailstock faults, bar feeder interface issues and spindle drive alarms on Okuma, Mazak, Doosan Puma, Haas ST, Hardinge, Citizen and Star machines.

Shops in St. Francis and Wauwatosa call us for the same work. See CNC lathe repair.

Vertical, horizontal and 5-axis repair in Milwaukee

When a machining center in Milwaukee stops mid-cycle, it’s usually the tool changer, an axis alarm, a lube fault or a sensor, not the expensive part. Our Milwaukee team traces it on the machine, fixes it on site when it can, and quotes the rest before anything gets ordered.

Our Milwaukee team handles it anywhere around Milwaukee, including South Milwaukee and Glendale. See CNC mill repair.

Spindle, servo and hydraulic rebuilds in Milwaukee

Rebuild or repair, our Milwaukee team tells Milwaukee shops straight. Spindle noise and heat, servo overload alarms and hydraulic pressure loss all get measured first, and you see the options with prices.

Shops off I-94 know the routine: call, tell us the machine and the alarm, and a tech heads over. See spindle rebuilds and servo motor rebuilds.

CNC maintenance plans in Milwaukee

Most breakdowns in Milwaukee give warning first: a leak, a noise, a battery alarm, a little drift. A maintenance plan catches them. We schedule around your shifts and give you a report you can hand to the owner. If you’re between maintenance hires, Our Milwaukee team can put a tech at your facility for several weeks to keep things running, and help you hire.

Plans cover shops across Milwaukee County, including Wauwatosa and Cudahy. See maintenance packages.

Example call in Milwaukee

Northwest side machining center won't home after a power outage

The call

A job shop on Milwaukee’s northwest side lost power overnight. In the morning, one horizontal machining center wouldn’t return to its reference positions.

What we did

  1. Diagnose. The absolute encoder batteries had been low for weeks, and the outage wiped the stored positions.
  2. Fix. Replaced the batteries, re-established the reference positions and checked tool change and pallet change positions.
  3. Prove. Ran the warm-up and a first part, and saved a fresh parameter backup.

The result. Running by late morning, with a reminder set for the next battery change.

A typical call, written to show how we work. It isn’t a specific customer.
